1) I would like to have met Doc Severinsen the great trumpet player and leader of the Tonight Show Band for many years. I would ask him what is the secret to a great jazz performance.
2) I would have liked to witness the march on Washington DC during the Civil Rights movement. I would like to witness this event becuase I would have loved to hear the "I Have a Dream" speech in person. I feel like the emotions that resulted from this would have an impact on how I view the world.
3) I would like to have been born in the 1940s becuase during the post- Wrold War II era there was a revival of jazz. From the Doc to Frank Sinatra the 50s' and 60s' would allow me to listen to some of the jazz greats in person. (I wanted to be born early enough so by the time they came popular I could appricate it.)

1) I would like to meet former president Ronald Reagan. I would like to because I would like to ask him how he came about with Reaganomics. I would like to also ask why he sided with Supply-Side Economics over Demand-Side Economics. Also to ask how confident he was that his economic policy would work at the time.

2) The time of the Cuban Missle Crisis is a time period in which I would of liked to experience. I would because it was a scare to America as the stability of nations was being tested. This crisis showed the spread of communism and its effects on the people in America and around the globe.

3) I would like to have been born in 1939. I say this because this was the around the start of WWII and a turning point for America, since the Second World War got America up and out of the Great Depression. From here on out there are many other important instances that I would of liked to witness that were and still are very important. The integrity of this nation lies in its past.

1) I would liked to have met James Brown because he is probably the most Funky musician I know of, I would ask him how he stays so Funky all of the time.
2)The only event I could think of that I would like to have witnessed would have to be Woodstock 1969. I wasn't there obviously so I don't know what it was like, but I do know Jimi Hendrix and Jefferson Airplane, amongst other great bands, played at Woodstock so it definitely would have been interesting to see what it was like.
3)I really think that I wouldn't want to be born in any other year, but if I had to choose, I would say 1990 so I could experience life a little bit more before the turn of the century.

1.) If I could meet anyone important who lived some time between 1945 and 2011, I would like to meet President Kennedy. I would ask him what he would or would not have continued to do as president if he was not assassinated. For example, I think a lot of people believe he would have discontinued involvement in Vietnam had he lived, and I wonder if that's true.

2.) If I could travel back in time to witness any event, I would go back to the 1920s because of the economic boom the nation was experiencing at the time. I think a lot of people actually believed in the American dream in those days and thought anyone could become rich if they tried hard enough.

3.) If I could be born in any other year other than my own birth year, I would like to be born around 1940. I personally enjoy the music of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. So I think it would be pretty cool to experience these periods in music history, especially at the young age I would be.

2) I would have like to have seen the great upset the American Olympic hockey team had over the Soviets in the 1980 Winter Olympics. That was an emotional time period because of the Cold War and I bet it felt bitter sweet to watch the Soviets lose to our national team.
3) If I could have been born in another year, I would choose 1920 because then you would get to experience so much of our nation's history while you were alive. The roarin' twenties, the Great Depression (I'm not sure that I would enjoy that), and World War II.
