2. Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech. I think it would have been great just to be in his presence and witness how he inspired so many.

1) I would like to meet Joseph Stalin, because it would be very interesting to hear about communism from it's leaders.
2) When the first US man touched foot on the moon because it would have been cool to be apart of that moment.

1) I would like to meet Hunter S. Thompson and ask him what it was like to live being publicly known as an enigma.
2) An event I think would have been fascinating to witness would be the 1968 Democratic Convention. Clashes where the government pits against its people are endlessly interesting to me and this was one of the most intense in American history.
3) I would want to have been born in 1943. This would place me in my late teens/early twenties during the sixties and would allow me to be part of the turbulence of hippies, yippies and social revolution (something I've always been interested in).

1) Martin Luther King to talk about his part in the civil rights movement and why he chose to go about the whole movement as peacefully as he did.
2) Probably the Vietnam war to see the different point of views people had on the war and the anti-war movements. I just find it interesting that people didn't support our troops in Vietnam.
3) 1985 to see the Chicago Bears win the superbowl. I wish I was older so I could remember all the turmoil and opinions on Y2K.

1) Albert Einstein. Did he realize the weight of his work at the time? Did he know he would become one of the most famous scientists in the world? What motivated him to join the scientific community?

2) The Apollo 11 take off/landing. I would have liked to have seen arguably humanity's greatest accomplishment as it was happening and felt what the onlookers felt as they first took their steps.

3) Right around 1945-1950. America and the world would have been in a generally happy state of living with the war ending and America's economy and quality of life grew rapidly around this time.

1) John F. Kennedy, I think spending a few hours being able to ask him a ton of things about being president would be amazing.

2) The moon landing, I can only wonder at how amazing it must have felt to watch at the time, its lost some of its awe in 2012.

3) 2050, I would love to be able to see how the world is in the future, long enough where, hopefully, America's economic problems are solved and technology is far advanced.

1) I would like to meet NBC Journalist Tom Brokaw most because he witnessed and reported most all of the major events that took place in the last 40 years and is a tremendous fund of American historical knowledge. I would like to ask him what he felt was the most influential event that he witnessed/reported and how and why that event influenced American society then and in the future.
2) The event I would have most liked to witness would be the 1980 USA-Soviet Union Olympic Hockey Game because it was one of the biggest upsets in history and the most emotional and meaningful game of the year. Rarely before had the American public paid so much attention to a hockey game and team, especially a game that transcended sports and represented the Cold War struggle between the US and the USSR.
3) I would have liked to be born in the year 1957, the year my parents were born, because I would be born into a relatively booming and happy era in America. I would grow up to some pretty awesome music and experience incredible changes in the fabric of American Society (Civil Rights Movement, Cold War, etc). There are bad times in the era but those who are in their 40's and 50's now experienced an incredible technological revolution.

1. JFK. Not only is his voice awesome but the legacy he left on the country holds true even today. His leadership helped bring america the the forefront of the world, in a time where countries felt the need to compete against each other. If I had the chance I'd ask him if he'd ever read the Communist Manifesto or not and if he agreed at all to any of the ideas in it.

2. Probably the destruction of the Berlin Wall. To see the physical and figurative wall put up by the soviets all those years beforehand would be absolutely phenomenal

3. This may not have much to do with history but I would have liked to be born in 82' just because I would be in my 20's now and the 80's were a pretty wacky decade to grow up in. That silly Ronald Reagan.

1.) I would like to meet Ronald Reagan to see how he truly felt towards his ideas, and if they were even his ideas. I believe his term in the office symbolizes a change in tides of the presidency and the overall mechanics of conservatism.
2.)The first 3-peat of the Bulls championships in the 80s, because watching Michael Jordan play is something this world only had for so long and we were lucky enough to have him in the great Windy City.
3.)I'd say 1985. I would have been at the perfect age at the dawn of mankind’s greatest decade; the 90s. Seriously, look at those hats and clothes. Not to mention the genuine TV shows on Nickelodeon and Disney, who doesn’t know the name Topanga?!

1- I would like to meet Kurt Vonnegut and ask him about his writing process, and the connections he tries to make in writing.

3- Whateveer year is around the time of human evolution into partially robotic/fully robotic beings. I want to be an immortal robot. Or early enough for me to invest in successful start up companies. The 1970's would probably work for that, (assuming I retain my current knowledge). Otherwise I am fine with my current birth date.

B) I want to observe the Nuremberg trials. I think they were a very unique event that really captured the mass of evil of the Third Reich. C) I'd like to have been born in 2000, because I would always be exactly 2000 years younger than the year Anno Domini.
Also, I'm content with the current technological advancement; I can't be certain of what the far future holds. And plus there seem to be a few decades left to enjoy before America goes bankrupt.

3) I'd like to have been born in 1935 so that I would have been old enough to understand the discovery of the structure of DNA in 1953. This discovery has led to the understanding of DNA which has helped to advance medicine.

I would like to ask them how they got the courage to go to school everyday knowing they would be harassed and made fun of for their skin color.
